United Genetics has been in existence since April 24th, 1990. Our headquarters are in Hollister, California.

The founder, Dr. Remo Ludergnani, an experienced seedsman, started his career at the famous Petoseed, reaching the position of Vice President, International Division. Later, he was one of the shareholders of Sunseeds, the internationally known company. In September 1989, he left Sunseeds and, together with his wife Norma, worked at the planning of United Genetics.

The motto of United Genetics is
"New Ideas for Better Seeds".

This means that all of us here are trying hard to innovate the trade, not only with the creation of increasingly better hybrids, but also in the way we pack and distribute seed, we train our distributors, and we present our company and our products.

After the first few years, during which all the responsibilities were on the shoulders of the founders, the company expanded in 1995 with a sister  company in Italy, United Genetics Italy, located in Parma, that is responsible for the distribution of our products in Italy, Greece and other countries of the Mediterranean basin.

In 2004, we founded United Genetics Chile Ltda. to produce off season our hybrids and to market directly our best hybrids in the South American markets.

United Genetics India Pvt. Ltd. started operations on April 1, 2005 as an independent company licensed by United Genetics Seed Co. to handle all its interests in India and the neighboring countries.

Our sales people are technically prepared to represent the company and the products, correctly we understand that our dealers and distributors are in business to make money and only through high, constant quality and better products, we can guarantee their and our growth, also keeping our price structure aggressive and competitive at all times.

We specialize in 8 classes of products: tomato, cantaloupe/melon, watermelon, squash, pepper, cucumber, eggplant and onion. In these species we do active traditional breeding. All other products are produced and maintained in purity, to service our customers.
