Pat Boleda
NAFTA Sales Manager
With
the exception of one year working for a tomato processing company in
California, Pat has dedicated the rest of his professional career to the
vegetable seed industry.
For ten years Pat worked with Goldsmith Seeds, Inc. located in Gilroy,
California gaining experience in seed production, product development
and domestic sales.
Pat added to his resume experience in crop business
management and international marketing and sales during the twenty two
years that he worked for Syngenta Seeds, Inc.
Pat’s strong knowledge of the vegetable seed business especially in the
area of sales, marketing, product development, protected crops and the
produce industry will be major assets to the rapid and dynamic growth of
United Genetics.
Pat holds degrees in Vegetable Crops and Agricultural Economics from UC
Davis and MBA from Stanislaus State University.

Roger Sawheny
Customer Service / Logistics Manager
Roger Sawheny
was born and brought up in India and after completing Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering, he came to the U.S.A. for higher studies. After
completing B.S.E.(M.E.) at the University of Michigan and M.S.M.E. at
the University of Missouri-Rolla, he worked in design, construction, and
project engineering management for about 15 years in managing projects
related to power, petrochemical, and fertilizer industries.
During the next 20 years, Roger worked in the seed industry around the
globe. He started his agribusiness career with Pioneer Hi-Bred
International, Inc. in managing their seed operations in India and then
he was promoted to the position of Operations Director of Asia-Pacific
Region responsible for the business in India, Philippines, Thailand and
Indonesia. Roger also spent significant amount of time in
design/construction /operation of seed processing plants in various
countries. Later, he joined ICI Seeds as a consultant for their
operations in Eastern Europe.
Then he took the opportunity to join Plant Genetic Systems, N.V. in
establishing and managing their seed business in Canada and moved on to
take the responsibility for coordination of global genetic resources of
oil seed rape. After Plant Genetic Systems became a part of Aventis,
Roger continued his role in business development of hybrid seeds in
various crops in many countries.
In February 2008, Roger Sawheny joined United Genetics Seeds Co. as the Customer
Service and Logistics Manager.
